Understand the work first
Good software starts with the people, decisions, and constraints behind the screen—not with a preferred framework.
About Michael Abella · Senior developer
I'm a SaaS, web app, WordPress, and Shopify developer working remotely with teams worldwide. For more than a decade, I've helped turn business requirements into digital products people can actually use.
I've spent my career working across the full web stack: shaping interfaces, writing application logic, structuring data, connecting services, and putting systems into production. That range helps me see a product as one connected experience instead of a collection of tickets.
My work spans client websites, e-commerce, internal tools, automations, and complete SaaS products. The common thread is practical ownership: understand the actual problem, make the important decisions clear, and deliver something dependable.
I also started NerdVine around a conviction I still hold—that Filipino talent is world-class and deserves better tools, opportunities, and representation. Building it keeps my product advice grounded in the same tradeoffs founders face: focus, limited resources, real users, and the need to keep shipping.
I work directly with the people responsible for the outcome, keeping the path between a business need and the implementation short.
Good software starts with the people, decisions, and constraints behind the screen—not with a preferred framework.
Working previews and direct communication keep decisions grounded and prevent late surprises.
Clients should leave with their code, accounts, and a system they can understand and continue improving.
Production is where assumptions meet reality. Launch includes verification, measurement, and practical follow-through.
Founder perspective
When you're responsible for a product, every technical decision touches time, money, customers, and momentum. I bring that context into the build—not just the code.
